What you'll be doing To work in partnership with the Midwife Manager – Models of Care to strengthen and optimise midwifery scope of practice, enabling a workforce that is prepared for the redesign, implementation, and sustainability of contemporary maternity models of care.

About You

You are a highly experienced and dedicated Registered Midwife with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and relevant post-registration qualifications that support advanced clinical practice and education within maternity services. You bring extensive experience across the full scope of midwifery practice, including continuity of care models, and have a strong understanding of contemporary maternity service delivery. Your expertise includes designing, delivering and evaluating education programs that strengthen workforce capability, support professional development and align with organisational priorities.

You are committed to providing culturally protected, trauma-informed, woman and family-centred care, with a particular focus on meeting the needs of Aboriginal families and diverse communities. You possess a thorough understanding of contemporary maternity Models of Care and have demonstrated success in supporting implementation,



workforce readiness and service redesign initiatives that align with strategic objectives. Through your ability to facilitate change and engage clinical teams, you effectively support transitions to new models of care and evolving workforce practices.

You are recognised for your collaborative approach, working closely with midwifery leaders, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to achieve positive service and workforce outcomes. Additionally, you hold a current driver's licence and are willing to travel across the District to provide leadership, education and support where required.
