SteelCity Support Coordination is seeking a reliable, motivated, and compassionate NDIS Support Worker to join our growing team. We deliver high-quality, person-centred supports across the Central Coast and surrounding areas, with a strong focus on professionalism, consistency, and meaningful outcomes for participants.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct support to participants with a range of complex and high-needs presentations. This includes assisting with daily living activities, supporting community access, and working within structured environments such as Supported Independent Living (SIL).

You will be part of a large, multidisciplinary team, working closely with clinical staff, behaviour support practitioners, allied health professionals, and coordinators to deliver consistent, high-quality care aligned to participant goals and clinical recommendations.

This role requires availability across a 24/7 roster, including day shifts, evenings, weekends, and overnight (sleepover and/or active night) shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support in line with participant goals, care plans, and clinical recommendations
- Assist with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, domestic tasks)
- Support participants to access the community and engage in meaningful activities
- Implement behaviour support strategies and risk management plans
- Follow manual handling procedures and utilise appropriate equipment safely
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency of care
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and incident reporting

Essential Requirements

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent), or
- Demonstrated experience working with high-needs participants, including manual handling and complex care




- Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern and/or high-intensity needs (highly regarded)
- Confidence working within structured clinical and behaviour support frameworks
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow structured support and clinical plans

Highly Regarded Skills

- Experience supporting participants with complex medical needs (e.g. seizures, PEG feeding, continence, mobility supports)
- Understanding of restrictive practices and behaviour support implementation
- Ability to work in high-intensity environments requiring clinical oversight
- Experience working collaboratively with allied health and clinical teams
