We are excited to offer a permanent opportunity within our welcoming Occupational Therapy team across the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist who will contribute to our positive team culture while developing their paediatric skills within a supportive, experienced and connected department.

This Level 1/2 Occupational Therapist position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your paediatric practice while working across a range of services throughout the Hastings Macleay Network. The diverse caseload and service settings will allow you to broaden your clinical experience, strengthen your professional confidence and gain a well-rounded understanding of paediatric occupational therapy across the continuum of care.

You will be supported by experienced Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapists, with access to regular supervision, mentoring and opportunities for ongoing learning and professional development. You will also be part of a welcoming broader Occupational Therapy department, providing connection with colleagues across different clinical areas and career stages.

What you'll be doing

Practising and promoting safe, efficient and effective Outpatient/Community care within the Hastings-Macleay region that reflects current standards of Paediatric Occupational Therapy practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

This position focuses on the planning,



coordination and delivery of high-quality Occupational Therapy care to paediatric patients, ensuring vulnerable children and their families have access to essential early intervention and developmental services

About You

You hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or an equivalent qualification and maintain current AHPRA registration. You bring demonstrated experience in delivering client‑centred paediatric occupational therapy services, applying a thoughtful and responsive approach to supporting children and their families. You use advanced professional judgement and evidence‑based practice to plan, implement and evaluate paediatric assessments and interventions, ensuring that each child’s needs are understood and addressed with care and clinical rigour.

You communicate with clarity and warmth, using well‑developed written and interpersonal skills to build positive rapport with clients, families and colleagues. You work confidently both autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams, contributing effectively across integrated care settings and collaborating with community stakeholders and organisations to support seamless service delivery.

You manage your clinical, administrative and professional development responsibilities with strong planning and prioritisation skills, organising your workload in partnership with your supervisor and team to maintain high standards of practice. You demonstrate a sustained commitment to professional development and show a clear understanding of quality improvement processes, consistently applying evidence‑based approaches to enhance service outcomes.

You hold a current NSW driver’s licence and are able to travel as required for the role.
