Who We Are
Connect.Ed is passionate about delivering trauma-informed care to vulnerable children. Our early intervention team focuses on providing a regulatory and relationship-based approach to supporting children’s development and learning. We are supportive and collaborative, and place a high importance on continual professional development. Connect.Ed is committed to making therapy more accessible for families; therefore all intervention is provided within the child’s natural setting.
The Role
Connect.Ed are seeking an amazing Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary allied health team to provide services to clients across Adelaide. We ideally are looking for individuals who have full time availability, however are willing to accommodate part time applicants if they are the right fit for the team. We value the importance of work-life balance, so talk to us about flexible working options (ie. Hybrid WFH/9 day fortnight!)
Our therapists conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to provide individualised direct therapy interventions.
Liaison and capacity building with families, key stakeholders, and support staff forms a critical aspect of the role.
Connect.Ed requires the successful applicant to:
- Possess strong problem solving and clinical reasoning skills, as well as a high level of time management and organisational skills
- Proven ability to communicate in a clear, considerate manner with genuine compassion
- Work with Aboriginal staff and families in a way that fosters mutual respect
Requirements & Skills
- Relevant tertiary education & registration with relevant body with nil conditions or restrictions
- A current valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- A satisfactory National Criminal History Check (willing to obtain)
- A satisfactory DSCI Working with Children Check
- Current Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training
*This role is delivered via an outreach model, providing services across metropolitan Adelaide and selected regional areas. We receive a high volume of referrals in Adelaide’s northern suburbs. All kilometres travelled are reimbursed above the ATO rate.
