Set in a heritage building in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Agnes is an experience built around the elemental art of wood-fired cooking—no gas, no electricity, just flame.
Set across three thoughtfully designed levels, including a main dining room, wine bar and terrace, Agnes celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and seasonal produce. Our meticulously curated beverage program featuring an evolving wine cellar, thoughtful cocktails and rare spirits, complements the bold flavours of our open-fire menu.

The Role

With a new menu launch, we're looking for a Demi Chef to join our Agnes crew. At Agnes, fire is at the heart of everything we do. it inspires a creative and energetic kitchen, where our dishes privlege flavour over form. In this role, you will be responsiblefor preparing high-quality dishes with a focus on wood-fire led cooking. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, this position is suited to someone with a strong work ethic a desire to be part of a focused and high-performing team.
What we're looking:





- Proven experience as a Demi Chef in a high-quality and fast-paced kitchen
- Experience with mise en place, food preparation, and plating presentation
- Is motivated by strong teamwork and has a deep appreciation for quality ingredients
- A calm, qualified and collaborative approach to kitchen teamwork
- Commercial cookery qualification or apprenticeship is highly regarded
- Experience with wood-fire cooking highly regarded
