APG is currently recruiting Hatchery Assistants for our client based in Devon Meadows, VIC. This is a great prospect for someone looking for ongoing work with a supportive team, where you can learn current skills and receive full on-the-job training. No previous hatchery experience is required.

About the Role
Working as part of the hatchery team, you will assist with a range of daily operations. This is a hands-on and physically active role, where you will be on your feet for most of the shift and working at a steady pace.
Your duties will include:
- Transferring and stacking egg trays onto trolleys
- Monitoring the incubation process
- Cleaning equipment, rooms and work areas
- Operating tray washing equipment
- Assisting with general hatchery duties
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to ensure daily production targets are met
About You
- Physically fit and comfortable working on their feet
- Comfortable lifting up to 20kgs
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced environment
- Able to follow instructions and workplace procedures
- A good communicator
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willing to learn and take on new tasks
