- Conduct legal and factual research relating to native title matters and case law.
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents, applications, affidavits, submissions, reports and legal briefs.
- Draft professional correspondence, newsletters and administrative documentation.
- File and serve court documents and coordinate the delivery of legal briefs.
- Undertake transcription and document management activities.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of meetings, workshops, conferences and stakeholder engagements.
- Attend meetings and accurately record minutes and action items.
- Support client management teams with planning, progress tracking and project coordination activities.
- Monitor and update matter information, risks and key milestones.
- Maintain accurate records, databases and case management systems.
- Ensure information is kept current across internal systems and reporting platforms.
- Contribute to a collaborative and client-focused team environment.
- Previous experience in a Paralegal (ideally 2+ years)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems.
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
- Strong administrative and record management capability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel when required.
- An understanding of, or interest in, First Nations affairs and native title matters will be highly regarded.
