The Virtual Learning Community (VLC) offers families and students an alternate and flexible platform for accessing a full-time, Christian school education. As an accredited Distance Education provider, Hillcrest has developed an online offering that gives students the opportunity to complete their learning from home, while still benefitting from the many on-campus activities, facilities and resources that come with a Hillcrest Christian College education.

The position:

Hillcrest Christian College is seeking to appoint a passionate and innovative Head of Virtual Learning Community (VLC) to provide strategic and relational leadership of the College’s virtual community.

As a key member of the College’s leadership team, the Head of VLC will shape a vibrant, connected and Christ-centred community in which students, families and staff feel known, valued and supported. The role will lead the development of a strong culture of belonging, engagement and excellence, ensuring that the VLC experience reflects the College’s Christian ethos, values and commitment to student flourishing.

The Head of VLC will provide strategic leadership across community culture, student experience, wellbeing, engagement and staff development, while fostering strong relationships with students, families and staff. Working collaboratively across the College, the successful applicant will champion innovation, build community connection and lead a high-performing team committed to delivering an exceptional virtual learning experience.

This is a permanent full-time position, commencing in Term 4, 2026, or as otherwise negotiated with the successful applicant.
