Role Description The Payroll Officer role at Lumibird Medical is a full time hybrid position based in Adelaide, SA, with the flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing end-to-end payroll for Australian employees, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and company policies.

Officer will manage timesheets, leave entitlements, and payroll adjustments, reconcile payroll reports, and coordinate superannuation and other statutory payments.
This role involves responding to payroll-related inquiries, supporting audits and reporting requirements, and collaborating with HR and Finance to improve payroll processes and systems.

Officer will also contribute to continuous process improvement and support the Finance team.
Qualifications
- Strong payroll administration capabilities, including end-to-end payroll processing, reconciliation, and compliance with Australian employment and taxation legislation.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and related tools, such as HRIS, time and attendance software, Excel, and reporting dashboards.
- Solid accounting and numeracy skills, with attention to detail in data entry, documentation, and financial record-keeping.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly and maintain confidential employee information.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle deadlines, multiple pay cycles, and periodic reporting requirements.
- Experience working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate or Diploma in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; prior experience in a Payroll Officer or similar role is highly desirable.
