Yougawalla Pastoral Company, a collection of cattle stations across the Kimberley region in Western Australia, are looking for an organised, approachable and experienced Payroll Officer to manage our payroll operations.

Responsibilities of this Role

· Maintain employee records and ensure they are kept up to date

· Prepare payroll data including timesheets, leave, allowances and deductions

· Manage the fortnightly payroll operations across the Kimberley

· Ensure all payments are processed accurately, on time and are compliant with relevant awards and legislation

· Respond to payroll queries as they arise

· Additional ad hoc financial duties as they arise

Skills Required

· Strong organisation and time management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Detail focussed, reliable and easy to work with

· Dependable, proactive and a ‘can do’ attitude

· Able to work independently, collaboratively and handle sensitive information confidentially

Qualifications and Experience

· Solid payroll experience - working in a similar role would be beneficial





· Comprehensive understanding of Fair Work, payroll legislation and interpreting Modern Awards is essential

· Confident with processing end-to-end payroll is a must

· Familiarity using Employment Hero would be advantageous

This role has the potential to expand into a full time role with broader responsibilities in Accounts or HR in the future (depending on the candidates’ skill set) and we are willing to offer flexible hours for the right candidate.
