An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced P&C; professional to join a collaborative and supportive People & Culture team.
This is a broad generalist position suited to an HR professional who enjoys working closely with leaders and employees across the full employment lifecycle. You will provide practical HR support and advice while contributing to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, engagement and broader people initiatives.
The Role:
- Providing generalist HR support and advice to managers and employees
- Supporting managers with employee relations, performance management and disciplinary matters
- Coaching and guiding managers through performance improvement processes
- Managing and responding to employee queries, escalating more complex matters where required
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment, including screening, interviews, background checks and contract preparation
- Assisting with workforce planning and resourcing requirements
- Providing guidance around policies, awards, leave, parental leave and other employment matters
- Conducting exit interviews and identifying key trends and insights
- Supporting learning, development and individual development planning
- Contributing to employee engagement, culture, diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Assisting with new starter programs, training and employee events
- Supporting health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
- Preparing regular people-related reporting and maintaining accurate HR information
- Contributing to HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting organisational change and restructuring activities when required
About You:
- 2+ years' experience in a generalist HR / People & Culture role
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, People & Culture or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Exposure to employee relations and performance management matters
- Previous involvement in end-to-end recruitment and onboarding
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work with managers at varying levels
- An understanding of HR policies, processes and employment-related matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation, administration and time management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- A collaborative, professional and solutions-focused approach
