KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, AND DUTIES

Meet and greet pharmacy customers

· Acknowledge and greet customers as soon as possible after arrival in store

· Behave in a friendly, helpful manner to establish rapport with customers

· Direct customers to the appropriate section of the pharmacy as necessary

Deal with prescriptions for dispensing

· Accept prescriptions from customers as required

· Confirm each patient’s particulars and the validity of the prescription

· Confirm each patient’s prescription needs

Work effectively

· Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

· Process documents as per procedures

· Actively participate in work meetings and within the team

· Be appropriately and professionally presented

· Follow instructions and request clarification if unsure

Understand the pharmacy industry





· Understand the roles and responsibilities of other team members in the pharmacy

· Continually develop knowledge and understanding of the pharmacy industry and business practices

Apply point of sale handling procedures

· Operate point of sale equipment as trained and instructed

· Perform point of sale transactions with customers

· Complete sales with customers

· Wrap and pack goods neatly

Perform routine housekeeping duties

· Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised work area

Apply protected working practices

· Be aware of and follow basic safety procedures

· Be aware of and follow emergency procedures

Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
