# Volunteer Event Photographer and/or Videographer

Hands Across the Water | Night of Celebration 2026

Hands Across the Water is looking for a volunteer photographer and/or videographer to join us for Night of Celebration 2026 – Vanilla | The Art of Growth.

Night of Celebration is one of our major fundraising events, bringing together the Hands community for an evening of great food, entertainment, auctions, stories and fundraising in support of the children and communities we work alongside in Thailand.

We’re looking for someone who loves capturing people, moments and atmosphere and can help us build a great collection of digital content from the night.

## What you'll be doing

Working alongside the Hands team, you'll capture the event as it unfolds, including:

- Guest arrivals and candid moments throughout the evening
- Speakers and presentations
- Live and silent auctions
- Entertainment and performances
- Fundraising moments
- Event styling, signage and venue details
- Short-form video content suitable for social media, if videography is your thing

You don't need to do both photography and videography. We'd love to hear from people who specialise in either, and we're very happy to have more than one volunteer join us.

## What we're looking for

You'll need to

- Have experience or a strong interest in event photography and/or videography
- Bring your own camera/video equipment
- Be comfortable working independently in a busy live-event environment
- Have a good eye for people, natural moments and the energy of an event
- Provide Hands with the original, high-resolution photo and/or video files from the evening within an agreed timeframe





Our team can manage image selection, cropping and touch-ups internally, so extensive post-event editing isn't required.

The digital assets will be used across Hands Across the Water social media, our website, supporter communications and promotional material for future events.

## What we'll provide

You'll be part of the Night of Celebration team for the evening and we'll provide:

- A volunteer meal and refreshments
- A Night of Celebration T-shirt
- Free parking at The Star Brisbane
- The opportunity to be part of a outstanding fundraising event
- Appropriate photography/videography credit where practical
- A written reference following the event, which we're very happy to provide if you're building your professional experience or portfolio
