Benvenuti Cucina & Pizzeria is seeking a skilled and passionate Experienced Pizza Maker to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of traditional and modern pizza-making techniques, a commitment to food quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and stretch pizza dough by hand according to restaurant standards.
- Prepare and organize toppings, sauces, and ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
- Operate and manage pizza ovens, monitoring cooking times and temperatures.
- Produce high-quality pizzas consistently, maintaining presentation and taste standards.
- Assist with dough preparation, fermentation, and daily kitchen prep work.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of ingredient requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure productive service.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures as required.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Pizza Maker in a busy restaurant, pizzeria, or Italian kitchen.
- Strong understanding of dough preparation, proofing, stretching, and baking techniques.
- Experience using, gas, or electric pizza ovens.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality during peak service periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
