Role Description This remote, part-time Policy Analyst role at CEDE: CÁMARA DE ENERGÍA DEL ECUADOR focuses on supporting evidence-based energy sector policy initiatives.

The Policy

Analyst will conduct qualitative and quantitative research on regulatory frameworks, market trends, and energy policies at national and regional levels.

Responsibilities include drafting policy briefs, reports, and recommendations, and preparing clear summaries for internal stakeholders and external partners. The role involves reviewing existing policies, identifying gaps, and proposing improvements aligned with CEDE’s strategic objectives.

The Policy

Analyst will collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams, participate in online meetings, and deliver work within agreed timelines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity.

Qualifications

- Strong policy-focused skills, including Policy Development and Policy Research, with experience translating findings into actionable recommendations.




- Well-developed Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to interpret complex data, legislation, and regulatory documents.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present policy insights in clear written reports and concise verbal briefings.
- Knowledge of public policy, economics, political science, energy regulation, or related fields; familiarity with the energy sector in Latin America is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Policy, Economics, Law, Political Science, Energy Management, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with productivity and research tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, online databases) and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks within a part-time schedule.
- Skilled working proficiency in Spanish; English reading and writing skills are beneficial for reviewing international sources.
