Description

As a Portfolio Analyst - Private Equity, you'll play an important role in supporting the Growth Assets team through high-quality research, analysis, reporting, and investment insights. You'll work closely with portfolio managers and senior investment professionals to help execute investment strategies and ensure decisions align with members' best financial interests.
You'll contribute to private equity portfolio management activities, including performance reporting, valuation and forecasting support, stakeholder engagement, governance activities, and strategic initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to build your investment expertise while working across a sophisticated portfolio with exposure to domestic and international markets.
This role is a permanent prospect and is based in Brisbane or Sydney.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:
- Undertake investment research and analysis to support portfolio management and investment decision-making.
- Build, maintain and enhance forecasting models and valuation tools.
- Contribute insights that help shape private equity investment strategy.
- Develop and deliver accurate and timely performance reporting.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Support negotiations, analysis and reporting activities relating to investment opportunities and partnerships.
- Fulfil governance, compliance and risk management obligations to a high standard.
- Participate in strategic initiatives and continuous improvement activities across the investment function.
Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You hold tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce or economics.
- Your understanding of the Australian superannuation industry enables you to connect investment decisions with member outcomes.
- You'll bring strong research and analytical capability with a keen eye for detail.
- You're experienced in building relationships and working effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- You demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Your proficiency with investment systems and reporting tools allows you to work efficiently and accurately.
- You'll have experience or an interest in private equity, financial modelling and valuation principles.
- You're a collaborative team player with strategic and creative thinking capability.
