Shelford Campus

Opening in 2027 in the heart of Caulfield, Shelford Campus will be Caulfield Grammar School’s newest Junior School. The campus will initially offer exceptional education for students in Prep and Years 4–6, before growing into a full Prep to Year 6 Junior School. This represents a once-in-a-career prospect for a founding team to shape the culture and community from the ground up, delivering high-impact learning in an outstanding purpose-designed environment.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support the health, wellbeing and safety of students as part of the foundation team at our new Shelford Campus.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus, the Nurse will provide high-quality first aid and health care management to students and staff, ensuring health needs are assessed, managed and supported in accordance with School protocols and procedures. Working closely with the wider Health Centre team, you will play an important role in promoting student wellbeing and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.

As a key member of the campus community, you will provide timely clinical care, oversee medication administration, maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with parents, staff and external health providers. You will also contribute to the overall wellbeing of students through a caring, professional and proactive approach.





As a founding member of the Shelford Campus team, you will help establish a culture of care and support that reflects the values of Caulfield Grammar School and ensures every student is known, supported and able to thrive.

This is a permanent full-time, term time position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, treat and manage a range of student and staff health care needs, including injuries and illness.
- Provide timely first aid and health care management in accordance with School procedures.
- Liaise with parents, staff, emergency services and healthcare providers regarding student health matters where appropriate.
- Coordinate referrals to medical and allied health professionals as required.
- Administer and supervise medications in accordance with School guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely health records, including documentation of incidents and treatment provided.
- Complete accident and incident reporting and elevate matters where required.
- Maintain student and staff medical records and ensure information remains current, as well as assist with other administration needs of the School when required.
- Assist with the management of medical equipment, first aid supplies, medications and pharmacy orders.
- Support the physical, emotional and overall wellbeing of students through a proactive and caring approach.




- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective health centre operations and adequate campus support.
- Uphold the School’s commitment to Child Safety, ensuring the wellbeing, safety and dignity of all students at all times.
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Registered Nurse Division 1.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Certificate.
- Experience providing first aid and health care services.
- Experience working in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of legal and statutory obligations relating to healthcare practice.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and record management capability.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also operating independently.
