About the role
We are seeking a Procurement Administrator to join our team and provide administrative and coordination support to the Supply Chain function. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring procurement activities are accurately recorded, documented and processed in accordance with company procedures, governance requirements and project expectations.
Working closely with procurement, project, finance and operational teams, you will play a key role in maintaining procurement records, coordinating supplier documentation, processing purchasing activities and supporting the efficient delivery of projects across the business. This site-based role offers an excellent opportunity for a highly organised administration professional to develop their procurement experience within a leading infrastructure and construction organisation. The successful candidate will ideally be based locally however, FIFO from any Australian capital city will be provided for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain function.
- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation,
registers, supplier records and filing systems.
- Assist with processing procurement requests, purchase orders and approval workflows.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding, vendor documentation and compliance records.
- Maintain procurement status registers and track procurement activities through to completion.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding documentation, delivery schedules and administrative requirements.
- Assist with obtaining quotations and compiling procurement evaluation documentation.
- Support the preparation of internal approval documents and procurement reporting.
- Coordinate and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery dockets and supplier correspondence.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable and procurement personnel to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Support Supply Chain governance, audit readiness and compliance requirements.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and the maintenance of procurement systems and processes.
About you
- Previous experience in supply chain and procurement administration, purchasing administration, accounts administration or a similar support role.
- Experience working within construction, infrastructure, engineering,
manufacturing, mining, oil & gas or related industries will be highly regarded.
- Strong administrative, record-keeping and document management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data, records and documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience working with ERP, purchasing or finance systems will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes.
