Procurement Officer An opportunity has become available for a Procurement Officer to join our Procurement team on a 7-month maternity leave contract. This role offers the chance to contribute to key procurement activities while working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the business. There may also be an opportunity to extend the contract beyond the initial 7-month period, subject to business requirements.

About the role:

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, maintaining inventory levels, and building strong supplier relationships to support business operations. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you will help ensure the timely supply of materials while contributing to the effective running of the procurement function

What you'll be doing:

- Managing the end-to-end purchasing cycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, goods receipt and payment processes.
- Working with suppliers to source products competitively and ensure quality and service expectations are met.
- Monitoring inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations while maintaining appropriate stock holdings.
- Assisting with the management of surplus and obsolete inventory.
- Building and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
- Supporting contract administration and supplier performance activities.
- Collaborating with Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Finance teams.

What we're looking for:

- Experience or qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, or a related field.




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn, contribute ideas and continuously improve processes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Pronto and strong Microsoft Excel skills will be highly regarded.
- Experience working with international suppliers and stakeholders, particularly within the Asia-Pacific region, would be advantageous.
- The ability to communicate in Mandarin would be beneficial but is not essential.
