Synergie are looking for an experienced and safety-focused Boilermaker/Welder. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Boilermaker looking for a varied role working across cranes, lifting and rigging equipment, height safety systems and associated components. You’ll play an significant role in keeping critical equipment safe, compliant and operating efficiently for our customers. Our successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, maintenance, inspection and installation of cranes and equipment.
No two days are necessarily the same. Your work will include a combination of workshop and site-based activities, troubleshooting, fabrication, repairs, inspections and installation work.
You will also have the opportunity to provide guidance and support to trainee and less-experienced Boilermakers.

- Regular and consistent hours. Standard shifts are Monday to Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm; some Saturday work and overtime will be available from time to time to meet operational and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication, repair and maintenance of overhead and gantry cranes and associated components
- Repair and maintenance of lifting and rigging equipment
- Fabrication and refurbishment of crane components in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Installation of new and refurbished cranes, lifting equipment and associated systems
- Troubleshooting structural and mechanical issues and identifying required repairs
- Conducting inspections, testing and load testing in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and manufacturer requirements
- Maintaining accurate inspection, repair and maintenance records
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised Boilermaker qualification
- Minimum 3 years' Boilermaking or equivalent industry experience
- Strong fabrication, repair and maintenance skills
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong mechanical and structural troubleshooting skills
The following are required or highly desirable:
- Boilermaker Trade Qualification (required)
- High Risk DG, LF and/or WP
- Working at Heights
- White Card
