XSP Consulting is seeking an experienced

ICT Support Officer to provide frontline, customer-focused ICT support for an Australian Government client in Barton, ACT.

This is an initial 3-month contract, with a potential 3-month extension, commencing around 7 September 2026. The role is full-time and 100% onsite.

The role

You will work within a Business Systems team to support staff in Australia and overseas, ensuring reliable day-to-day ICT services and a positive user experience.

- Responding to helpdesk requests and resolving routine hardware, software and access issues
- Providing professional, responsive desktop and end-user support
- Maintaining accurate service records, documentation and ticket updates
- Supporting the deployment, configuration and lifecycle management of ICT equipment
- Assisting with operational ICT activities and broader technology projects
- Communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across end-user devices, applications and common ICT services




- A customer-first approach, with excellent written and verbal communication
- Sound administration skills and discipline in ticketing systems and service records
- Ability to work independently onsite while contributing effectively to a team
- Experience in an Australian Government environment is highly regarded
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline security clearance

- Location: Barton, ACT
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite
- Engagement: Contract through XSP Consulting
- Duration: 3 months initially, with one possible 3-month extension
- Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
- Level: APS5-equivalent
