This role will play a pivotal role in the businesses by providing engineering expertise in our ongoing capital upgrades, modernisation and water-savings projects. Key tasks may include construction planning,
specification development, design reviews, implementing inspection and test plans and materials selection. The position is integral for maintaining an effective link between MI’s internal teams and external contractors for the successful delivery of MI construction projects in accordance with MI standards and best practice engineering principles Key Responsibilities - Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring effective systems, procedures and compliance across all activities.
- Manage engineering high-quality projects, on time, under budget - Prepare and review project scopes, budgets, tender documents and construction schedules - Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and suppliers and site activities - Identify and implement continuous improvement and innovation across systems, processes and practices.
- Manage the coordination across instrumentation, metering, SCADA and communications with teams.
- Ensure robust governance, risk management, change control and technical compliance, supporting reliable and high-performing project management. What you’ll bring - Tertiary qualifications in Engineering with accreditation with Engineers’ Australia - 3-5 years of engineering experience in water infrastructure or construction - Extensive experience & knowledge in project delivery & management - Knowledge of safe work procedures, practices & relevant state regulations - Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft software applications - Current ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence - Live in or be willing to relocate to the Griffith Area (or its surrounds).
