Project Manager – Traction Studio

Sydney, NSW · Full-time, on-site · Immediate start

???’?? ???? ????? ??? ??????????? ?????? ????????.

A brand activation that takes over a space.

A pop-up built from scratch.

An exhibition people remember.

A retail experience that has to look incredible from every angle – and work perfectly behind the scenes.

These are the kinds of experiences we build at Traction Studio.

We work where creative thinking meets real-world making – building ambitious concepts into physical experiences through fabrication, delivery and everything in between.

Traction Studio brings together the experience of MNR Constructions and Peacock Retail under one roof. We work with some of the world’s biggest brands and agencies to create physical experiences built on creative thinking, precise execution and close collaboration.

And now we’re looking for a Project Manager to help make it happen.

??? ????

You’ll take projects from the first confirmed brief through to fabrication, delivery, bump-in and bump-out.

You’ll be the person connecting all the moving parts – the timeline, the budget, the suppliers, the team, the client and every detail in between.

You’ll work closely with clients, agencies, drafters, fabricators, suppliers and installers to turn creative concepts into something that actually works in the real world.

Some days will be spent mapping out the next three weeks.

Other days will involve solving a problem that needs fixing in the next three minutes.

You might be reviewing a drawing in the morning, chasing a critical delivery before lunch and standing on site that afternoon making sure everything comes together exactly as it should.

That’s the job.

We need someone who genuinely enjoys both sides of it.

???? ???’?? ?? ?????

- Building project schedules and keeping them moving
- Coordinating clients,

agencies, suppliers and our internal team
- Managing materials, orders, transport and site logistics
- Working with our drafting and fabrication teams to turn designs into reality
- Managing subcontractors and installation teams
- Tracking budgets, timelines, approvals and deliverables
- Spotting problems before they become expensive problems
- Keeping project documentation clear, accurate and up to date
- Managing bump-in and bump-out
- Making sure every project is delivered safely and to the standard we expect

???? ??’?? ??????? ???

You’ve managed complex projects before.

Maybe that’s been in construction, exhibitions, events, experiential production or fabrication. Maybe it’s somewhere else entirely.

What matters is that you can take something complicated, make sense of it, build a plan and get the right people moving towards the same outcome.

You know plans change.

You’re comfortable chasing a supplier in the morning, talking through a construction detail with a drafter at lunch and solving a site issue in the afternoon.

You’re organised without needing everything to be perfect.

You communicate clearly.

You ask the right questions.

You notice the little things.

And when something inevitably goes sideways, your first instinct is:

“Alright. How do we fix it?”

Experience with project management, construction, fabrication or engineering is highly valued.

Formal qualifications are a bonus, not the main thing.

??? ???? ???? ???

Because you won’t be sitting behind a spreadsheet managing a project you never get to see.

???? ?? ????? ??? ??????? ???? ????.

The brief is locked in. The drawings are moving. Materials are being ordered. Things are being built. And suddenly, there are a lot of people relying on you to keep everything moving in the right direction.

You’ll work across the details, collaborate closely with the team, solve problems as they arise and keep the project moving all the way to site.

And then you get to stand back and see it: the thing that’s been living in schedules, drawings, emails and workshop conversations is now standing there in the real world.

????’? ? ?????? ???? ???????.

You’ll work alongside designers, drafters, fabricators, installers and event producers who care about getting the details right.

You’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems and take ownership of your projects.

And you’ll work on projects for some seriously big brands and agencies – projects where the standard is high, the timelines are real and no two days are quite the same.

?? ??? ???? ????? ??? ???????, ????? ??????? ???????? ??? ???? ?? ??? ???? ???? ???? ????? ?? ??? ???? ?????, ??’? ???? ?? ???? ???? ???.
