Who am I?
I am a passionate person who loves working to deliver an amazing service and care to customers. I have high empathy which enables me to understand the needs of the customers and to provide a service that exceeds their expectations. I hold a qualification which allows me to support people with the skills I have.
Skills Required:
- Own transport to travel to clients homes (Australian Drivers Licence required)
- Qualification (Cert III or IV in Aged Care/Individual Support or Disability) or Nursing students or students currently studying towards the qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong empathy and compassion towards others
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Cleaning experience, reliable and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the social care industry
Responsibilities:
As a Care Skilled, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their daily activities, such as personal care, cleaning, cooking, laundry,
social support and assisting with shopping and appointments
- Provide direct assistance to clients with home duties and possible personal care
- Assist clients with maintaining a clean-living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Promote independence among clients by encouraging them to participate in activities that enhance their physical and mental wellbeing.
- Establish positive relationships with clients through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions including observations made during visits or shifts.
- Report any changes or concerns regarding the client's health or well-being
- Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations related to social care practices.
Qualifications:
- A valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable registered vehicle and insurance
- Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
- First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred
- Qualification - Cert III or IV Individual Support or Aged Care or Disability (Nursing students please apply)
