About My Occ Health Record

My Occ Health Record (MOHR) is an Australian-owned health-tech company transforming how high-risk industries manage the health and safety of their workforces.

Its cloud-based occupational health platform connects health data across the entire employee lifecycle—from pre-employment assessments and health surveillance through to injury management, occupational hygiene and employee wellbeing.

The platform currently supports more than 440,000 employee health records, 3.9 million live data points and over 1,000 clinical users.

Purpose-built with occupational-health specialists, MOHR helps employers centralise sensitive health information, automate compliance processes and use real-time data to make better decisions for their people.

The chance

MOHR is looking for an automation-focused QA Engineer to join its growing Engineering team.

Initially, you’ll take ownership of testing across a complex federal government integration project involving six connected systems and a large customer-side testing function.

You’ll work across system integration testing, UAT, APIs, end-to-end workflows and release readiness, ensuring MOHR’s platform works reliably within a much broader technology ecosystem.

However, this role is bigger than one project.

MOHR currently has an offshore QA team and approximately a 50/50 split between manual and automated testing. You’ll become its dedicated onshore QA specialist, helping shift the organisation toward an automation-first quality model.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to shape QA practices, increase automated test coverage and establish greater quality ownership throughout the development lifecycle.

Why this role is impactful The platform manages highly sensitive occupational-health information used to help organisations protect their people, meet compliance obligations and identify workplace health risks.

A failed integration or incorrect workflow isn’t simply a frustrating software defect—it can affect the accuracy,

accessibility and movement of important workforce-health data.

Your work will directly influence:

- The quality of a major federal government technology project
- The reliability of integrations across multiple connected systems
- MOHR’s ability to release software confidently and efficiently
- The transition from manual testing toward scalable automation
- How early quality and testability are considered during product development
- The long-term development of MOHR’s onshore QA capability

What you’ll be doing

- Design, write and execute automated and manual tests across MOHR’s web-based SaaS platform
- Test APIs, third-party integrations, data flows and end-to-end workflows
- Own testing activities across SIT, UAT, regression and release cycles
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable automated test coverage
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Reproduce, document and track defects through to resolution
- Work with Product and Engineering during discovery and refinement to identify edge cases before development begins
- Define test plans, quality criteria and release-readiness requirements
- Collaborate with MOHR’s offshore QA team and development teams
- Liaise with government-side testing stakeholders
- Help introduce stronger QA processes, documentation and release governance
- Explore practical ways AI can accelerate test creation, maintenance and coverage

What MOHR is looking for

You’ll be an experienced QA Engineer who is technically robust, automation-first and still comfortable performing thoughtful manual and exploratory testing where required.

You’ll ideally bring

- Strong hands-on test automation experience
- The ability to write and maintain high-quality automation code
- Experience testing APIs and integration-heavy systems
- Knowledge of API testing tools and automation frameworks
- Experience with functional, regression,

exploratory and end-to-end testing
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates
- Experience participating in SIT, UAT or complex enterprise releases
- Strong defect investigation and troubleshooting skills
- The confidence to challenge unclear requirements and identify edge cases early
- Clear communication with engineers, product teams and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to work autonomously and take genuine ownership of software quality

Nice to have

- Experience working on government or regulated technology projects
- Testing experience within health-tech or another sensitive-data environment
- Performance or load-testing experience
- Understanding of security-testing fundamentals
- Experience collaborating with offshore development or QA teams
- Practical examples of using AI to improve test automation
- Experience helping establish or mature an internal QA practice
- Existing government security clearance

Why join MOHR?

This role offers the chance to:

- Become MOHR’s dedicated onshore QA specialist
- Build and influence a capability rather than simply inherit a finished process
- Work on a technically complex, integration-heavy government project
- Introduce quality earlier across discovery, refinement and development
- Help modernise testing through automation and AI
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Support and customer stakeholders
- Make an immediate contribution within a smaller setting where your work will be visible
- Apply your technical skills to software designed to improve workplace health and safety

MOHR combines the purpose and complexity of health technology with the autonomy and influence of a growing Australian software company.

Because this role will initially support a federal government project, applicants must be Australian citizens and willing and eligible to undergo the required government security-clearance process.

If you’re an automation-first QA Engineer who wants to take ownership, improve how quality is delivered and help build something meaningful, I’d love to speak with you.

Apply directly or message Georgia Hart for a confidential conversation.
