QPWS is seeking a motivated, reliable, and conservation-minded team member to join our Agnes Water ranger team. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage our National Parks and Forest Environments for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and thrives in a hands-on environment.

We're looking for a positive, adaptable all-rounder who can work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team. While qualifications in conservation or land management are highly regarded, they're not essential. Practical skills including basic trade, maintenance or bushfire mitigation experience will be equally valuable in this OO4 Ranger role.

Working across approximately 70,000 hectares of protected area estate, our rangers spend much of their time in the field. Come and share our commitment to protecting Queensland's incredible natural and cultural values.

Trade the office walls for coastal forests, sandy tracks and national parks. Join Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and make a real difference while working in some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Discovery and Coral Coast region.

The successful applicant for this role will contribute to the management of a number of Parks in the Agnes Water Area including Eurimbula National Park, Deepwater National Park and Joseph Banks Conservation Park.

We value people with strong situational awareness, a keen eye for detail, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to delivering quality outcomes. A willingness to learn, contribute, and take ownership of your work will see you succeed.

Applicants must be comfortable working safely in remote outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Beyond fieldwork, the role also involves administrative responsibilities, including record keeping, reporting and routine documentation. The ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and maintain accurate records is essential.

We also take pride in our workplaces and assets. The successful applicant will help maintain clean, organised ranger facilities, vehicles, equipment, and storage areas, demonstrating a proactive approach to asset care, housekeeping, and workplace presentation.

Experience or knowledge in conservation, natural resource management, land management or park management principles will be highly regarded. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to protecting Queensland's incredible natural and cultural values while helping visitors enjoy some of the state's most spectacular places.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
