About the role

Drive Personnel is looking for a motivated Recruitment Specialist to join our team. You'll recruit skilled tradespeople including boilermakers, electricians, mechanical fitters and riggers. This chance suits someone with hands-on recruitment experience who understands the basics of sourcing, screening, and working with candidates—but is still eager to learn and develop.

You don't need to know everything from day one. What matters most is that you are teachable, proactive and willing to take initiative. With support and training, you'll gradually take ownership of the full recruitment process and develop into a confident mechanical trades recruitment specialist.

Key responsibilities

- Writing and posting engaging job advertisements
- Sourcing boilermakers, electricians, fitters, riggers and other mechanical tradespeople
- Finding candidates through SEEK, social media, referrals, networking and existing database
- Reviewing applications and screening resumes
- Conducting phone screens and candidate interviews
- Completing reference checks and coordinating onboarding requirements
- Maintaining accurate candidate records and recruitment documentation
- Building strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Working closely with consultants, managers and clients to understand workforce requirements
- Developing knowledge of mechanical trades, qualifications and industry requirements

About you





- Previous experience in recruitment, recruitment coordination or a similar role
- A basic understanding of candidate sourcing, screening and interviewing
- Solid communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive attitude and the confidence to take initiative
- A willingness to learn, accept feedback and develop new skills
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence speaking with candidates and clients by phone
- A positive, reliable approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
