We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our client partner’s established workshop team in Yatala.

About the Role

This is a workshop-based position working Monday to Friday, with consistent 50-hour weeks. You will maintain, diagnose and repair the electrical systems of a large and diverse fleet of civil and mining equipment.

The fleet includes excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, articulated and rigid dump trucks, water trucks, service vehicles and other heavy earthmoving equipment.

With hourly rates available up to $52.03, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson looking for stable local work, strong hours and exposure to a varied modern fleet.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across heavy mobile plant
- Maintain electrical, starting and charging systems
- Diagnose issues using electrical schematics and testing equipment
- Repair and maintain wiring harnesses, lighting and control systems
- Work with CAN bus, electronic control modules and machine monitoring systems
- Install and repair accessories, communication equipment and safety systems
- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Support major repairs, component replacements and machine rebuilds
- Accurately complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

About You To be successful, you will have:

- A recognised Australian Auto Electrical trade qualification
- Previous experience working on mobile plant or heavy earthmoving equipment
- Experience diagnosing complex electrical faults
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with civil, mining, construction or quarry equipment
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively within a busy workshop team

Experience working on Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu or similar heavy equipment will be highly regarded.
