Salary/Level: Level 2, $79,604 - $85,350 p.a. plus Superannuation

Tenure: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Rottnest Island (commuting), Western Australia

The Mechanical Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day operation of the Pedal & Flipper Hire mechanical area. This includes hands on repair and maintenance of bikes and hire equipment, providing technical guidance and on-the-job support to mechanical staff, and contributing to ensuring the fleet is safe, reliable and available for hire to meet demand.

The role provides day-to-day operational support and technical guidance within a small team working on a large hire fleet, including standard bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters and other equipment. A strong technical background in bicycle mechanics is essential, along with the ability to prioritise work and maintain consistent repair standards.

This position reports to the Supervisor Pedal & Flipper and works closely with the Manager Pedal & Flipper.

The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated extensive hands-on mechanical experience, with the ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs and maintenance on bicycles and e-bikes.
2. Proven ability to provide on-the-job guidance and share technical knowledge with others in a mechanical or workshop setting.
3. Demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and support workflow in a busy workshop environment.
4. Demonstrated experience maintaining records and tracking repairs or maintenance activities.
