Research Assistant
Remote (Australia) | Flexible Hours
Our client is a small Australian research and technology company looking for a Research Assistant to join their growing team. The role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys learning, solving problems, writing, researching, and getting involved in a wide variety of projects.
This isn't a narrow, highly specialised role. You'll have the chance to work across research, writing, project support, technology, testing and stakeholder engagement, gaining exposure to areas that most entry-level roles don't offer.
If you're curious, organised, comfortable working independently and enjoy figuring things out, this could be an excellent opportunity.
What You'll Be Doing
No two weeks will look exactly the same, but responsibilities may include:
- Researching health and scientific topics and summarising findings clearly
- Assisting with research projects and studies
- Drafting reports, presentations and other written materials
- Testing and reviewing digital questionnaires and online tools
- Organising project documentation and records
- Communicating with academics, publishers and other external stakeholders
- Supporting a range of projects as the business continues to grow
About You
Applications are welcomed from recent graduates, Honours graduates, current postgraduate students,
or candidates with some early-career experience.
You may have studied
- Psychology
- Health Sciences
- Public Health
- Biomedical Science
- Behavioural Science
- Or a related field
The successful candidate will likely bring:
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A genuine curiosity and willingness to learn
- Confidence using technology and learning new systems
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot as part of study or work workflows
