About the role

Reporting to and assisting the sales manager, this role involves managing customer interactions across phone, online, and over-the-counter channels for a retail and wholesale business distributing oils, batteries, guns, ammunition and accessories. You will be responsible for processing sales, maintaining business operations, and supporting the growing team at The Barn in Oakey, Queensland.

Key responsibilities

- Answer and direct phone calls in a qualified manner
- Process over the phone sales
- Maintain and update the business website as required
- Process sales and provide customer service
- Maintain and order stock
- Pack, process and dispatch parcels
- Respond to email inquiries
- Saturday morning work on a rotating roster with RDO system (Monday or Friday off following each Saturday worked)

About you

- Hold a valid QLD Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable vehicle for own transport to and from the workplace
- Must hold a current QLD Firearms Licence




- Strong level of computer skills is required
- High attention to detail is essential
- Ability to multitask in a high pressure situation while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Quick learner and willing to ask questions if unsure
- Enthusiastic and willing to expand your knowledge
- Previous administration, customer service and/or retail experience advantageous
- Retail and/or Business Administration certificates advantageous
