We're continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Project HSE Coordinator to join our Stable Formwork team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting safety on major construction projects while working alongside site and project management teams committed to safety, quality, and excellence.

THE ROLE

- You'll provide on-site HSE support for Stable Formwork operations, acting as a key communication link between Stable Formwork and Decode's HSE team.
- You'll support the implementation of HSE requirements, assist with safety compliance activities, and promote safe work practices across formwork operations, with a particular focus on formwork-related risks including working at height, erection and stripping, propping/backpropping, and edge protection.
- Act as a point of contact between Stable Formwork and Decode HSE teams regarding safety matters.
- Attend HSE meetings and help communicate site safety priorities, actions, and requirements. Conduct regular inspections of formwork activities, systems, and temporary works to identify hazards and support compliance with safe work practices and design specifications.
- Coordinate and implement Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)



for formwork activities, reviewing for completeness and control adequacy.
- Monitor and maintain formwork system design and structural integrity in accordance with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 1170, AS 4100), escalating defects or design concerns immediately.
- Provide site-based technical advice on formwork installation, striking, propping, loading, and environmental controls. Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks, and worker engagement to ensure formwork-specific hazards and controls are understood.
- Support incident and injury reporting, investigations, and corrective and preventative actions in line with Stable Formwork and Decode procedures.
- Maintain HSE records, inspections, and documentation in HammerTech (or equivalent system). Support internal and external HSE audits and the close-out of actions.
- Coordinate, implement, and maintain the permit to work system in compliance with Principal Contractor requirements.
- Build strong working relationships with Decode's project HSE team, site management, and Stable Formwork supervisors and crews.

ABOUT YOU

You're a proactive and detail-oriented HSE professional who enjoys building strong relationships on site and keeping safety front of mind. You bring solid working knowledge of formwork operations, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to promoting a positive safety culture.





You'll also bring

- Proven experience in an HSE support or coordination role within the construction industry, ideally with exposure to formwork or structural trades.
- Understanding of WHS requirements within construction, including formwork and working-at-height activities.
- Ability to apply company and project safety procedures and provide practical support to site teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with workers, supervisors, and project teams.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and HSE systems such as HammerTech.
- Construction White Card (essential).
- Relevant HSE qualification or working towards one (preferred).
