Sales Manager – South Australia
Lead the team. Coach the process. Drive performance. We are seeking a strong and experienced Sales Manager to lead our South Australian sales team.
We have an established and structured sales process, supported by proven sales scripts, training, coaching and clear expectations around how we engage with customers.
We’re looking for a leader who can bring that process to life — developing people, maintaining high standards and creating a team culture built around consistency, accountability and results.
The Role
As Sales Manager – South Australia, you’ll take ownership of the performance, development and day-to-day leadership of the sales team.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll spend time with your team, observe them in action, coach their sales conversations and ensure our sales process and scripts are being understood and consistently applied.
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading, motivating and developing the South Australian sales team
- Coaching team members through our structured sales training program
- Ensuring our sales process, scripts and standards are consistently followed
- Observing sales interactions and providing practical, constructive feedback
- Conducting regular training, role-playing and one-on-one coaching
- Setting clear expectations around activity, behaviours and results
- Holding team members accountable for performance
- Identifying skill gaps and developing individuals accordingly
- Driving sales growth and identifying opportunities across South Australia
- Building a robust, disciplined and positive sales culture
- Leading from the front and maintaining a strong presence with the team and in the market
Leadership Is Critical We’re looking for more than a good salesperson.
We need a strong people leader and coach who understands that consistent sales performance comes from consistent behaviours.
You should be comfortable setting expectations, reinforcing processes,
recognising great performance and addressing underperformance when required.
You’ll need the confidence to have difficult conversations when necessary, while also being someone your team respects and wants to perform for.
Our Sales Process
We believe great salespeople can be developed through the right combination of structure, training, practice, coaching and accountability.
Our team operates within an established sales framework, including scripts and structured training designed to create consistency and improve performance.
As Sales Manager, a key part of your role will be ensuring this training translates into what happens in the field every day.
We’re therefore looking for someone who genuinely enjoys coaching salespeople, not simply managing numbers.
After-Hours Commitment
It’s important that candidates understand this requirement from the outset.
This is not strictly a Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 management role.
Our customers, salespeople and sales opportunities don’t always operate within standard office hours. The successful candidate will therefore need to be flexible and available to work after hours when required, including supporting and coaching the team during important selling periods.
This flexibility is an expected part of the position.
About You
Ideally, you will bring:
- Proven sales management or senior sales leadership experience
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- A genuine passion for coaching and developing salespeople
- Experience working within a structured or process-driven sales environment
- The ability to coach scripts,
sales conversations and sales techniques
- Strong performance-management and accountability skills
- Confidence providing direct and constructive feedback
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A highly organised and disciplined approach
- A results-focused mindset
- The flexibility to work outside standard business hours as required
- A current Australian driver's licence
Above all, you’ll be a leader who can create an environment where people know what is expected, how to achieve it and that they will be supported and held accountable along the way. If you’re an experienced leader who loves developing people, building high-performing teams and driving results through a structured sales process, we’d like to hear from you.
How to Apply – Please Read Carefully
We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in this role, has taken the time to understand what we are looking for, and believes they can make a real impact on our sales team. To be considered, you must attach a personalised cover letter explaining why you believe you are suited to this specific position.
Please answer the following three questions in your cover letter:
1. What do you believe makes a great leader, and how do you personally get the best out of the people you lead or work with?
2. Imagine a member of your sales team isn't following the agreed sales process or scripts. How would you approach the situation?
3. This role requires regular work outside normal business hours. What does that commitment mean to you, and are there any restrictions on your ability to meet this requirement?
Applications that do not include a personalised cover letter and responses to all three questions will not progress to the next stage. We’re deliberately asking for this extra effort. If you’re serious about leading a sales team, developing people and driving performance, we’d like to hear from you.
