We are seeking an experienced SAP Architect to join a large, complex resources organisation and play a key role in the design, delivery and ongoing optimisation of SAP solutions supporting Asset Management

This is a senior specialist position suited to someone with strong SAP Asset Management experience who can operate comfortably across business process, solution design, technical architecture and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing and overseeing SAP solutions that align business requirements with scalable, secure and maintainable technology outcomes.

Key responsibilities include

- Designing SAP solutions supporting asset management and physical asset processes
- Providing functional and technical expertise across SAP Project Systems (PS), Capital Project Management and Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Designing solutions covering project structuring, budgeting, forecasting and integration with financial processes
- Translating complex business and technical requirements into practical solution designs
- Developing functional and technical design documentation across application, data, integration and security layers
- Working closely with business leaders, Product Owners, technical teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities for improvement
- Evaluating solution options and making recommendations based on cost, value, risk and business outcomes
- Supporting SAP solution delivery, release, deployment and operational readiness
- Ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, governance, security and delivery standards
- Contributing to BAU support models and ongoing operational improvements
- Identifying performance, scalability and reliability improvements across SAP platforms
- Leading design reviews and providing guidance to other technical and functional resources
- Supporting complex SAP enhancements, integrations and customisations through the full delivery lifecycle

About You

We are looking for a senior SAP professional with:





- 5–10 years of SAP functional experience across solution design, delivery and implementation
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Asset Management
- Significant experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) and Capital Project Management
- Working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Robust understanding of project structuring, budgeting, forecasting and financial integration
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, ideally within large-scale enterprise environments
- Experience designing and supporting complex SAP solutions, integrations and customisations
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, design patterns and integration methodologies
- Experience working across the mining, resources, manufacturing or heavy industry sectors
- Strong business process knowledge and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and applying design-thinking principles
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups, regions and time zones
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Engineering, Commercial or a related discipline

What You'll Bring The successful candidate will be comfortable operating between business and technology, bringing together deep SAP functional expertise with strong solution architecture and design capability.

You will have the ability to understand complex asset and capital management processes, challenge existing approaches where appropriate, assess solution options and develop practical outcomes that deliver value to the organisation.
