SAP Supply Chain Architect (Remote Australia)

About the Role The SAP Supply Chain Architect is responsible for leading supply chain solution design, technical governance, and consulting capability across COSOL's SAP Practice. The role operates at the intersection of solution architecture, delivery leadership, commercial contribution, and Application Managed Services (AMS) — ensuring supply chain solutions are designed correctly from initial scoping through to successful project delivery.

The role serves as the architectural authority for SAP Supply Chain, providing governance across project engagements, supporting pre-sales and proposal development, mentoring consultants, and contributing to the ongoing development of COSOL's SAP intellectual property and internal capability.

Working closely with the Capability Manager SAP, Project Managers, and Capability Leads, the SAP Supply Chain Architect ensures delivery standards are upheld, resources are aligned to the appropriate engagements, and reusable solution assets are developed to accelerate future implementations and support the continued growth of the SAP Practice.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design Authority

- Own the supply chain solution architecture across project engagements — defining the design approach, governing its integrity, and ensuring decisions are technically sound and commercially viable
- Lead functional reviews of client SAP supply chain environments, producing assessments that identify configuration gaps, structural weaknesses, and strategic improvement opportunities
- Translate complex business and operational requirements into explicit, defensible SAP solution designs that can be executed by the broader team
- Set and uphold design standards across the supply chain module — documenting patterns, decisions, and rationale to build reusable practice IP
- Provide design oversight and technical direction to other consultants working within the supply chain space

Pre-Sales & Consulting

- Partner with the Capability Manager to shape and progress SAP Supply Chain opportunities
- Lead client discovery workshops and technical scoping sessions
- Produce Statements of Work (SOWs), solution architectures, ROM estimates, and detailed effort estimates

- Validate proposed solutions against SAP Best Practice and each client's existing SAP landscape
- Review commercial proposals prior to submission to ensure technical integrity and delivery feasibility
- Lead current-state assessments, future-state design workshops, and SAP consulting engagements that assist clients in defining their transformation roadmap
- Engage confidently with executive stakeholders across Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT as a trusted SAP Supply Chain consultant and solution architect
- Contribute thought leadership, capability development, and cross-practice collaboration to strengthen COSOL's SAP go-to-market strategy

AMS Escalation & Practice Support

- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex supply chain tickets within COSOL's AMS practice — providing resolution, direction, and knowledge transfer to the wider team
- Conduct root cause analysis on systemic or recurring supply chain issues within client environments and deliver structured remediation recommendations
- Mentor and uplift other team members on supply chain design principles, configuration standards, and client engagement approaches
- Collaborate with AMS team members on ticket prioritisation and resolution documentation

Project Delivery

- Contribute to SAP RISE readiness and S/4HANA uplift engagements in a supply chain architecture capacity — leading design, gap assessment, and solution validation activities
- Author high-quality functional and technical specifications that enable independent execution by other team members
- Support go-live activities including solution validation, testing oversight, and hypercare where required
- Contribute to a varied portfolio of client engagements across asset-intensive industries as practice demand requires

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies

Essential

- Minimum 10+ years SAP Supply Chain experience with clear progression to solution architecture or principal consultant level
- Demonstrated ability to own and govern supply chain solution design across complex, multi-entity SAP environments — not just deliver configuration
- Deep technical foundation across MM, WM/EWM, inventory management, and procurement — sufficient to set design direction and review others' work
- Strong understanding of supply chain integration design with FI/CO, SD, and PP including cross-module architecture and account determination principles
- Pre-sales experience — comfortable leading scoping conversations, shaping solution approaches, and contributing to commercial proposals
- Functional review and advisory experience — assessing client environments and producing strategic recommendations
- Established AMS or managed services experience — operating in an escalation, enhancement, and optimisation capacity
- Working knowledge of SAP RISE and S/4HANA landscape including supply chain architecture considerations and migration frameworks
- Solid written and verbal communication skills — able to engage and influence senior client and internal stakeholders across both technical and operational domains
- Able to operate independently and lead engagements with minimal supervision in a remote-first environment

Desirable

- SAP Supply Chain certification or equivalent formal accreditation
- Baseline security clearance, or willingness to obtain (COSOL will support sponsorship)
- Exposure to adjacent modules including EAM, EHS, or Finance
- Experience contributing to SAP RISE readiness assessments or S/4HANA migration programmes
- Multi-client consulting background with demonstrated ability to lead across industries and environments
- Experience working with or advising clients in asset-intensive industries — utilities, energy, resources, water, or transport

About COSOL
