Experienced Dental Receptionist - Part Time | Casey Smiles, Cranbourne

About the Role

Casey Smiles is seeking an experienced and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team on a part time basis at our practice in Cranbourne, VIC.

This is an important front-of-house role within our practice. You will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional and positive patient experience.

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and experienced in dental reception, with a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of a busy dental practice.

What You'll Be Doing

- Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional first impression
- Managing patient appointments, bookings, cancellations and recalls
- Answering and managing incoming phone calls and patient enquiries
- Processing payments, health fund claims and patient accounts
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Providing patients with explicit information regarding appointments, treatment and payment options
- Liaising closely with dentists, dental assistants and the wider team
- Managing daily appointment books and ensuring the practice runs efficiently
- Following up patients and outstanding treatment as required
- Maintaining confidentiality and complying with practice policies and procedures
- Supporting the team with general administrative duties
- Providing exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

- Previous experience working as a dental receptionist – essential
- Experience working in a busy dental practice




- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and item numbers
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- A professional, friendly and positive approach to patients and team members
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member
- A genuine commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience
