About the role
Designing, planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs and practices, including following and implementing an approved learning framework. Contributing to children's social, emotional, and physical development while preparing secure and productive learning environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design, plan, implement and evaluate educational programs and practices following an approved learning framework
- Contribute to children's social, emotional, and physical development
- Prepare safe and productive learning environments
- Prepare and maintain visual aids and displays
- Ensure all art products and materials are safe and clean for children
- Clean and maintain toys, equipment, and learning spaces daily inside and outside
- Changing nappies and keep children clean and safe environment
- Identify each child's developmental stage and generate activities to target developmental areas
- Lead and support the health, wellbeing, learning and development of children
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children and their families
- Ensure compliance with service policies and national and/or state-based legislation
About you
- Knowledge of children's developmental stages
- Ability to provide pedagogical leadership, coaching, mentoring and supervising staff
- Ability to record and report each child's progress to parents
- Ability to report maintenance requirements and reportable allegations to appropriate supervisors or administrators
- Understanding of National Quality Standard requirements
