About This Opportunity

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Senior Administration Officer to join our team in one of two exciting full-time fixed-term opportunities and support scholarships that make a real impact for students. In this pivotal role, you'll provide high-quality administrative support while working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across UQ to help ensure scholarships are administered efficiently. You'll contribute to key processes and initiatives, maintain accurate systems and records, and support the delivery of services within a collaborative and supportive team environment. Whether you're joining us to support a parental leave placement or a project-funded initiative, you'll play an important role in helping students succeed through access to life-changing scholarship opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-level administrative support to assist with the delivery of team activities and services.
- Coordinate processes, documentation, and communications while maintaining accurate records and systems.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support projects and day-to-day operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance service delivery.

December and January are our busiest months, making this an exciting time to join the team. To help us deliver a great experience during this peak period, we're looking for candidates who can offer flexibility and are generally available across December and January, with limited pre-planned leave commitments.

About You

- A relevant degree with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and guidelines, particularly when managing complex or sensitive matters.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills,



with the ability to prioritise competing tasks, take initiative, and contribute to improving processes and workflows.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior staff, students, parents, school representatives, and external stakeholders.
- Strong digital literacy, including experience using a range of software packages and enterprise systems, combined with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
