About the Role
Humero Recruitment Partners have been exclusively engaged to recruit an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join a busy, values-driven HR team supporting operations at Northam, with 2 days WFH. This is a hands-on generalist role ideal for a HR professional who thrives in a highly unionised, Enterprise Agreement-based workplace and enjoys providing practical, day-to-day advice that makes a real difference to operational teams.
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you'll be the trusted first point of contact for leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle, from performance and conduct through to coaching leaders on everyday workplace matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, operational HR advisory support to leaders and employees
- Support effective people management within a highly unionised, EA-based environment
- Assist managers with employee relations matters, escalating complex or high-risk issues as needed
- Support industrial compliance, including interpretation and application of the Enterprise Agreement, policies and legislation
- Assist with investigations and disciplinary processes including coordination, documentation and procedural support
- Provide day-to-day advice on performance, conduct, attendance and workplace behaviour
- Assist with preparation of correspondence, meeting documentation and outcome letters
- Maintain accurate,
confidential, audit-ready employee records and case documentation
- Build strong working relationships with operational leaders to support workforce stability and capability
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR advisory role
- Experience supporting workplaces governed by an Enterprise Agreement
- Exposure to employee relations and industrial case support
- Sound working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards
- Strong interpersonal, written communication and documentation skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion and sound judgement
- Ability to provide clear, practical advice in operational and high-risk environments
Requirements
- Proven right to work in Australia
- Ability to pass all pre-employment checks, including an Australian Federal Police Check and medical assessment
- Ability to pass a Working with Children Check
