WATCH Disability Services (WATCH) is a for-purpose community organisation providing flexible, innovative, group and individualised training, support and supported accommodation for adults with a disability. WATCH is a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) registered provider. The organisation is in a solid position to further scale its positive impact having recently added supported accommodation to its historic core of day services.

Role Description

We are seeking two volunteer Non-Executive Board Members with significant and senior experience; one with legal experience and one with marketing experience. The marketing board member will be focused on helping the CEO and her team deploy effective marketing plans to attract participants to the range of services provided by WATCH. The legal board member will be focused on ensuring that the board and executive operate with a sound approach to governance and compliance.





The board meets for between 60 to 90 minutes on a monthly basis in Mulgrave, VIC. The Board Member will be responsible for participating in board meetings, providing insights, and supporting the organisation's initiatives. Given the relatively small organisation, it is expected that all board members contribute in a 'hands-on capacity' beyond providing their input to board meetings.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

- Lived experience in the disability services sector is a plus, but passion for the cause is essential
- Experience in the targeted area of focus (either legal or marketing)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Previous board experience is a plus but not essential
- Bachelor's degree in area of focus (either legal or marketing)
- Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) completion is desirable
