As part of Jacobs' Operations Management and Facility Services (OMFS) team, the Senior Asset & Operations Management Consultant will lead and support delivery of strategic asset management initiatives, operations optimisation and assurance services and field-based inspections and discovery activities across asset-intensive industries. The role supports clients in maximising asset performance, reliability, resilience and lifecycle value through data-driven decision making, risk-informed investment planning, engineering assurance and operational excellence. The position combines consulting leadership, technical expertise, project delivery and client engagement across the full asset lifecycle.

Preferably based in Queensland but considering locations in New South Wales and Victoria, we're looking for a Senior Asset & Operations Management Consultant to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering innovative asset management solutions across Australia. This position combines technical expertise, project delivery and client engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients to improve asset performance, optimise investment decisions and enhance the management of critical infrastructure throughout its lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of asset management, operations and maintenance advisory projects across water, wastewater, transport, energy, municipal services, facilities and other infrastructure sectors.
- Develop asset management strategies, policies, frameworks, governance models, KPIs and decision-making processes aligned with ISO 55000 principles.
- Undertake asset investment planning, lifecycle modelling, asset criticality assessments and risk-based prioritisation of capital and operational expenditure.
- Drive asset operations and performance optimisation initiatives through operations advisory, maintenance strategy development, reliability improvement and intelligent infrastructure solutions.
- Analyse asset condition, performance, reliability and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and support evidence-based decision making.
- Provide Engineering, Design and Construction Assurance services to confirm assets are developed, delivered and commissioned in accordance with performance requirements, operational needs and lifecycle objectives.
- Review engineering designs, construction outcomes,



commissioning activities and handover documentation to ensure asset integrity and operational readiness.
- Design and implement asset information management strategies, digital systems, reporting frameworks and data environments that improve visibility and decision support.
- Support risk, safety and systems assurance activities, integrating operational, environmental, safety and compliance requirements into asset management practices.
- Facilitate organisational capability uplift through training, workshops, operating model development and change management initiatives.
- Build trusted client relationships, manage project teams and contribute to successful delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Contribute to business development, proposal preparation, thought leadership and growth of Jacobs’ Asset Management and Operations capability.

Here's what you'll need
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, Information Technology, Data Analytics or a related discipline
- Extensive experience delivering asset management, operations, maintenance, engineering assurance or infrastructure advisory services.
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, asset performance management, risk-based decision making and investment planning.
- Experience in operational performance improvement, maintenance optimisation, reliability engineering and operational readiness programs.
- Experience supporting engineering, design, construction, commissioning or assurance activities on infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of asset information management, enterprise asset management systems, data governance and digital asset solutions.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
- Experience developing business cases, strategic plans, asset management plans and executive-level recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage project scope, schedules and budgets.
- Experience within water, transport, energy, facilities, local government or other asset-intensive industries is highly regarded.
