Senior Business Analyst needed to drive complex digital transformation and business change initiatives

Senior Business Analyst Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a major federal government organisation driving large-scale digital transformation and registry modernisation initiatives. This role will play a key part in delivering strategic technology and business outcomes within a complex regulatory environment.

As part of a major program of work focused on modernising national registry services, you will work within a high-performing Digital, Data & Technology team delivering innovative and impactful solutions.

Your new roleAs a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead business analysis activities across the full project lifecycle, partnering with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners to deliver successful transformation outcomes.Key responsibilities include:

- Leading requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement
- Analysing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities and defining future-state solutions
- Documenting and managing business, functional and non-functional requirements
- Developing user stories, process maps and business analysis artefacts
- Applying User Centred Design (UCD) principles to support accessible and user-focused solutions
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams
- Supporting testing activities, UAT preparation, implementation and change readiness
- Creating as-is and to-be process models using BPMN and other modelling techniques
- Providing guidance and mentoring to junior Business Analysts




- Working within Agile and SDLC delivery environments to support program outcomes

What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering complex digital or technology transformation projects
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies and Agile delivery frameworks
- Proven experience eliciting, documenting and managing complex requirements
- Excellent business process modelling skills, including BPMN
- Experience with enterprise analysis, data analysis and solution assessment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience applying User Centred Design (UCD) principles
- Experience supporting testing, UAT and implementation activities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Ability to work autonomously in complex and evolving environments
- Desirable experience includes exposure to platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Siebel, Oracle Fusion, PeopleSoft, Java-based systems, SAS or enterprise data warehouse environments.
