About the role
Merger Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking experienced HC and MC Drivers to join our growing transport and logistics team. This is based in Hazelmere, WA 6055 .As an HC or MC Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring the timely delivery of asphalt, and maintaining the highest standards of road safety and professionalism. This role is crucial to our operations, as you will be the face of our company on the road and directly contribute to customer satisfaction and business success.

Key responsibilities

- Operating heavy commercial vehicles (HC or MC category) safely and efficiently in compliance with all road traffic laws and regulations

- Transporting goods to designated destinations within scheduled time frames

- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and road worthiness

- Maintaining accurate logbooks, delivery documentation, and driver records

- Communicating effectively with dispatch, management, and customers regarding deliveries and any issues that arise

- Adhering to load securing procedures and weight distribution requirements

- Performing basic vehicle maintenance tasks and reporting mechanical issues promptly





- Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety protocols and defensive driving practices

- Contributing to a positive workplace culture and supporting team objectives

What we're looking for

- Valid Heavy Commercial (HC) or Rigid Heavy Commercial (MC) driver's license for Western Australia

- Minimum of 2-3 years' skilled driving experience in a heavy commercial vehicle

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining communication with the team

- Professional attitude with a commitment to customer service and safety
