We undertake cutting edge research on a wide range of neurological disorders and conduct specialist treatment clinics. About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a data and systems professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and turning ideas into practical digital solutions.

As our Data Systems Engineer, you’ll help develop, implement, integrate and enhance secure electronic clinical and research information systems. Working closely with clinical, research and program teams, you’ll help transform the way information is captured, managed and used—making systems smarter, more productive and easier for our teams to work with.

This role is offered on a part-time (0.8 FTE) or full-time (1.0 FTE) fixed-term basis (initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension).

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the program team and stakeholders to develop, test and deploy digital products ensuring timely delivery and ongoing improvement of quality data systems and assets.

- Engage with clinical and research staff to understand and translate business requirements into practical, scalable solutions with the aim of streamlining clinical and research information capture, management and reuse.

- Develop,



maintain and enhance central data capture systems and technologies with accompanying documentation adhering to data management standards and regulations.

- Determine feasibility of systems and data configuration, automation and integration e.g. API connectivity, to support workflows, research capability and operational efficiency.

- Ensure that all relevant licences and permissions are obtained for use of software applications, validated tools and modules.

- Maintain and communicate expert knowledge of information systems.

- Provide support and training to users on operating, administering, and/or configuring user-developed information systems to effectively and reliably capture data, and to extract/export data for reporting and analysis.

- Ensure the privacy and security of personal information and confidentiality of data according to relevant health information privacy legislation.

- Monitor and investigate new developments and regulations in electronic data management systems.

About You

- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics or a related discipline.

- Demonstrated experience electronic data capture and information management systems e.g. REDCap,



ideally in a health or clinical research setting.

- Experience developing digital solutions that support business processes, data capture, information management and systems integration.

- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.

- Experience with MySQL, HTML and JavaScript will be highly regarded.

- Ability to develop and configure data forms, workflows, and external modules and integrations with electronic data systems e.g. Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap).

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people from clinical, research and technical backgrounds.
