Job Opportunity: Truck Driver - HC Licence

The Position

Asphaltech currently have an opportunity for a full-time permanent Truck Driver with a HC licence to join the team and work with the civil crew throughout the Perth Metro area.

You are required to transport the excavator using a truck and trailer from the Malaga yard to the relevant work site. Throughout the day you will remove all waste from the job site and take it back to the yard. At the end of the day, you will return to the Malaga yard transporting the excavator using the truck and trailer.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a genuine interest in truck driving. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a HC licence and experience driving a truck and trailer.

Training may be provided for the right candidate if you have a HR licence and able to apply for your HC licence please apply.

Experience of transporting road machinery to various locations will be highly regarded but not essential.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Transportation: Transport excavator safely to various locations throughout the Perth Metro area.



Throughout the day ensure the truck is correctly loaded, and waste is taken to the correct yard.

- Licence: Use your Heavy Combination (HC) licence to enable the transportation of the excavator and waste throughout the day.

- Loading and Unloading: Acquire the skills in safely loading, unloading.

- Securing Machinery: Learn the correct techniques for securing excavator for transport to ensure safety.

- Compliance Knowledge: Understand and adhere to all compliance required for position.

- Paperwork: Complete the necessary documentation accurately and promptly.

- Housekeeping Standards: Maintain high housekeeping standards in all work areas.

Preferred Experience & Skills

To be successful in this position you should have:

- A Construction Induction Card (white card).

- A HC driver’s licence with 12 months driving experience as a minimum.

- Willingness to complete a driver medical assessment.

- An understanding of civil and asphalt machinery (highly regarded).

- Strong mechanical aptitude (highly regarded).

- A genuine interest in pursuing a career as a Float Operator.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively both as a team player and independently.
