We specialise in all aspects of tax and accounting including tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships, tax withholding variations, BAS, Company and Trust accounting. We are looking for an experienced and professional CPA tax accountant to manage our tax and accounting division and be an individually registered tax practitioner under our Tax Agent registration.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to take ownership of tax compliance, accounting and advisory work across a diverse portfolio of Australian businesses and individuals.

You will work closely with clients and guiding the tax team, providing practical taxation and accounting solutions while ensuring all compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns.

Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS.

Prepare financial statements and management reports.

Provide taxation and accounting advice to clients.

Assist with tax planning and business structuring.

Review client accounts and identify discrepancies or issues.

Manage ATO correspondence, queries and audits where required.

Monitor client deadlines and ensure timely lodgement of all compliance obligations.

Assist clients with GST, PAYG, CGT and FBT matters.

Maintain accurate workpapers and client records.

Build strong,



skilled relationships with clients.

Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and provide value-added advisory services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

CPA qualification or equivalent Australian accounting qualification.

Hold registration as an individual tax practitioner by the Tax Practitioners Board

Previous experience in Australian tax accounting, preferably within public practice.

Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements.

Demonstrated experience preparing tax returns for individuals and business entities.

Experience with BAS, GST, PAYG, CGT and FBT.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines.

Experience with Tax Assistant, Xero Tax, MYOB, Handisoft or similar accounting software is highly regarded.
