The opportunity

Exact AI is looking for an experienced measurement and modelling specialist to support our growing client work across Marketing Mix Modelling, marketing effectiveness and advanced analytics.

You will take senior analytical responsibility for client engagements: understanding the business and its data, determining the right measurement approach, leading or supporting modelling, challenging the outputs and turning the analysis into recommendations marketers can use.

We are primarily looking for someone to work with us on a flexible, part time basis, although we are open to full-time, contract or freelance arrangements for the right candidate.

What you will do

Working across engagements from initial data assessment through to modelling and interpretation, you will:

•⁠ ⁠Assess marketing, media, sales and commercial data, identifying gaps and quality issues

•⁠ ⁠Determine appropriate measurement methodologies based on the client’s objectives and available data

•⁠ ⁠Lead or support MMM and related analytical work, including model development, diagnostics, validation and quality assurance

•⁠ ⁠Analyse channel contribution, incremental impact, ROI, marginal returns, response curves and saturation

•⁠ ⁠Develop scenarios to assess how changes in marketing investment may affect performance and budget allocation

•⁠ ⁠Refresh models, investigate anomalies and determine whether changes in performance are meaningful

•⁠ ⁠Translate analytical findings into clear, commercially relevant recommendations

You may also participate in client discovery sessions, workshops, results presentations and discussions with marketing, finance and senior management teams.

Experience and capability

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in MMM, econometrics, marketing measurement,



marketing effectiveness or a closely related analytical discipline.

You should have

•⁠ ⁠Strong statistical modelling and time-series analysis skills

•⁠ ⁠Experience with model validation, forecasting, incrementality, causal inference or optimisation

•⁠ ⁠Confidence working with large marketing, media, sales and commercial datasets

•⁠ ⁠The ability to explain complex analysis clearly to non-technical audiences

•⁠ ⁠Experience with Python, SQL or modern analytical tools

Marketing or media experience would be a significant advantage. Understanding how marketing budgets are planned, how channels work together and how investment decisions are made is as valuable to us as technical capability.

Most importantly, you will bring strong analytical judgement. We want someone who questions the data, challenges assumptions and investigates results that do not make sense rather than simply accepting what a model produces. You should also be able to explain clearly what an analysis can tell us—and what it cannot.
