PRIMARY OBJECTIVE To lead the delivery of business support functions across Core Operations, ensuring alignment with Power and Water’s governance frameworks and strategic objectives. The role drives continuous improvement and supports operational and financial performance through effective leadership,

collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The “WHAT” to be delivered

Business Operations and Support

- Provide operational leadership and accountability for the Business Support Hub, ensuring delivery of financial, administrative, and project coordination services aligned with Power and Water’s policies, governance frameworks, and strategic objectives.

- Responsible for the operational reporting and analysis of the capital portfolio via the Core Operations Capex Portfolio Steering Committee,

ensuring data accuracy, governance compliance, visibility of risks, and progress tracking.
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve cross-team business issues or process gaps impacting service delivery; collaborate with

stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Lead the design, review, and implementation of fit-for-purpose business processes that support effective decision-making, operational

efficiency, risk mitigation, and compliance with relevant policy and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee coordination and input of the capital portfolio to the Statement of Corporate Intent (SCI),



forecasting and business planning processes,

ensuring prioritisation reflects risk management, strategic alignment, and available funding.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans related to business support functions and capital portfolio management,

ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, finance teams, and external partners to support operational delivery and

strategic initiatives.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Maximo Asset Management System; lead ongoing system training, user support, and capability

development across Core Operations teams.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the team/organisation.

People Leadership and Team Delivery

- Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Set clear priorities, manage resource allocation, and ensure delivery of outcomes on time and to quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Business Support Hub functions, escalating strategic or complex issues to management as required.
- Represent the Business Support Hub function in cross-organisational forums, contributing operational insights and influencing outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team and operational processes to enhance effectiveness and adaptability.

- Lead by example to promote a safety-first culture, actively supporting safety conversations, risk assessments, and performance monitoring within the team.

- Ensure all activities comply with environmental policies and legislation, driving sustainability and responsible operational practices.
- Deliver customer-focused services by building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring

expectations are met or exceeded.
