Krueger Transport Equipment is looking for an experienced Service Technician (Mechanic) to join our Service team at Wetherill Park, NSW.

This is a excellent opportunity for a qualified Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic who enjoys hands-on work, fault-finding and the variety that comes with servicing and repairing heavy transport equipment. You’ll work alongside an experienced workshop team, tackling everything from scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance through to mechanical repairs, diagnostics and breakdown work.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Carrying out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicle trailers.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across trailer systems and components.
- Inspecting, repairing and replacing brakes, suspension, wheel-end and other mechanical components.
- Repairing and adjusting pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Completing general trailer repairs, mechanical fitting and component replacement.
- Inspecting equipment for defects, wear and potential safety issues.
- Troubleshooting problems and recommending appropriate repairs.
- Assisting with breakdown repairs and other service work when required.
- Completing job cards, inspections and service documentation accurately.
- Working closely with your Leading Hand, Workshop Supervisor and fellow technicians to get the job done safely and efficiently.





What We’re Looking For

- A trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic or equivalent mechanical trade.
- Previous experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles, trailers or similar transport equipment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with heavy vehicle braking and suspension systems.
- The ability to interpret technical information, service instructions and specifications.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality.
- A practical, hands-on approach and pride in your workmanship.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full Australian working rights.
