OUR CLIENT

We are partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer based in Campbellfield that produces plastic packaging solutions for the food industry.

The Role

This is a Monday-to-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM role based in Campbellfield. You'll be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance on plastic blow moulding and injection moulding equipment, ensuring production runs efficiently. The position commences on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent full-time role upon successful performance and completion of qualifying hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Service and replace mechanical components, including bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyors.
- Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and equipment adjustments.
- Inspect machinery and recommend reliability improvements.
- Respond promptly to production breakdowns.




- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
- Work safely in line with site procedures and food manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
- Participate in toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1–2 years' maintenance fitting experience in manufacturing.
- Solid mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in maintaining industrial production machinery.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Highly Regarded

- Experience with plastic blow moulding or injection moulding machinery
- Pneumatic and hydraulic system experience
- Exposure to robotic or automated production equipment
- MIG, TIG, or Arc welding skills
- Experience in food manufacturing or packaging environments
